Do you only have time for a single task? Can you make a few phone calls on behalf of our league?
Our new Committee Member role offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities.
You could help the League Secretary with any of these duties.....
- setting up Team Picture day
- organizing our end of year League Picnic
- league uniform distribution
- promoting and/or helping during fundraising events
- and more!
Team Manager/Head Coach - duties
can include:
- running games and practices for one season in a
positive, constructive way and within the Little
League
rules, including providing fair play time for
all of your players,
- attending the game scheduling meeting to help
schedule games with other participating leagues,
- rescheduling any rainouts, etc. for said games to
the best of your ability,
- communicating/distributing team and league
information in a timely manner,
- attending Board meetings (mostly monthly).
Assistant Coach - duties can include:
- assisting the Team Manager:
-
with running games and practices
for one season in a positive, constructive way and
within the Little
League rules, including
providing fair play time for all of your players,
- with rescheduling any
rainouts, etc. for said games to the best of
your ability,
- with communicating/distributing team and
league information in a timely manner,
- attending Board meetings (mostly monthly).
Team Parent - duties can include:
- assisting
the Team Manager with:
- communication of team and league information in a timely manner,
- distribution of team uniforms at beginning of spring season.
Team Scorekeeper - duties can include:
- assisting
the Team Manager with keeping
the team's statistics
using the
baseball scorebook provided,
- keeping
the pitch
count
for each pitcher including
the opposing
team's,
- during
each game, conversing with the opposing
team's scorekeeper to confirm
stats.
Field Maintenance - duties can include:
- assisting
the Field Coordinator Board member by:
- dragging
the fields when necessary to prepare
for home games and practices,

lining fields in preparation for
games,
- mowing
grass as needed.
Board Member - duties vary on the position.
Some of our Board Members plan to step down after the 2014-2015 year. If you are interested in a certain position and would like to shadow a Board Member as they go about their duties this year, please contact us.
*Note: For the safety of the children, every volunteer will be subject to a background check. This is a Little League mandate.
